Vanity Units for your Bathroom for the Walls and the Floor

The type of vanity units you have in your bathroom are most likely to be governed by the amount of available space you have. Some bathrooms lets face it are huge, and even the main bathroom in a family home can accommodate quite a few units. On the other hand a small bathroom, perhaps the en-suite bathroom to the master bedroom may be smaller. In this case, you'll want to maximize the space you have and install units intelligently.

There are two basic types of vanity units for the bathroom, the wall units and the floor units. The floor units are bigger and are designed to have a vanity top installed above. The vanity top is usually made of granite counter tops or marble or some other kind of material that is waterproof and solid. Don't worry about the weight of your vanity tops when deciding on which units to go for, all RTA vanity units for the bathroom can handle the weight easily.

Your wall vanity units in the bathroom will be smaller and lighter. They have to be attached to the wall after all, so you don't want anything that's going to be too heavy. They are usually not so deep either, because otherwise they would protrude too far into your room, and would be right in your face when standing in front of the floor units. The great thing about the wall units is that you can have different doors depending on where they are situated. For example, you could choose to have mirrored doors on a couple of your wall units, and that would negate the need to have another separate mirror mounted elsewhere in your bathroom. You see, already we are using intelligent ideas to save some space and cut down on installation times.

The wall vanity units for the bathroom you choose will also depend on the type of walls you have. Thicker walls can accommodate more weight, but if your walls are thin then you will need to use specialist fixings to attach them. For plasterboard walls for example you will need to use fixings that go into the wall and then spread out in order to provide a fixing that will bear the weight. It can also be useful to attach something to your wall first, that your wall vanity units in the bathroom can then fix to. This has the effect of spreading out the weight of the units, and your wall will therefore bear the weight more effectively.

Whichever vanity units you choose for your bathroom, be assured that you can get RTA vanity units for the bathroom in many different colors and designs. They can be fixed on standard walls and even those covered with tiles. So whatever your circumstances, you can choose the units that are best for you, and which go well with your home. By using the right vanity units in your bathroom you can create a large amount of storage space conveniently in your bathroom. You can check out our selection of cabinets, ranging from traditional and antique to contemporary.
