In End Grain Construction, small pieces of wood are arranged vertically to show only the ends of the wood. The sizes of these pieces will vary depending upon wood species that are selected. While Flat and Edge grain construction typically use only one wood color, End grain allows one to choose more than one color to make patterns and other designs. Our standard countertops are only one color; however, more options are available upon request.
This style of countertop is also called butcher-block, because it is much easier on your knives and provides an excellent cutting surface.

• Our End Grain Countertops come standard with a food grade finish, which renders the wood safe to cut food on. However, food grade finish requires reapplication monthly.
• Sinks are not included, however we do offer many sinks.. You may also provide your own sink specifications.
• If you will not be using the countertop for cutting, feel free to request our stain and water resistant permanent finish.
• Gloss or Matte Finishes are available.
• The minimum thickness of End Grain is 2.5 inches, and there is no maximum thickness.
• This construction seasonally expands and contracts in width and length.
